Semiahmoo Peninsula Marine Rescue Society

Semiahmoo Peninsula Marine Rescue Society supports Royal Canadian Marine Search and Rescue – Station 5 Crescent Beach(RCMSAR 5) which is a volunteer organization providing marine search and rescue capabilities serving the ocean waters of White Rock South Surrey southern Delta and the Strait of Georgia. RCMSAR Station 5 has 35 dedicated extremely well-trained volunteers on call 24 hours a day 7 days a week 365 days a year ready to respond to incidents on and around the water. These volunteers donate over 2000 hours a year to marine search and rescue activities in addition to being on call for over 50000 hours a year. RCMSAR Station 5 not only covers boating emergencies; but all locally based water activities in and around White Rock Beach and Crescent Beach the 2 major beaches south of the Fraser River. While continually promoting boating safety; RCMSAR 5 conducts free boat safety inspections and works with many local youth groups to teach safety on the water
