Saskatchewan Foundation for the Arts

The covid-19 pandemic impaired operations in 2020. The foundation redoubled its work in 2021 to use the investment funds generated its endowments to solicit candidates and make substantive awards to saskatchewan artists. The foundation discontinued the use of the saskatchewan arts board for the purpose of adjudication of candidates' work. Instead the foundation actively promoted its award program build a website to attract of artists' attention and then formed a distinguished peer panel of accomplished artists among relevant disciples to adjudicate the works submitted by a substantial field of candidates. The foundation expanded its available awards with the generosity of donors wishing to encourage the successful development of emerging artists and authors. The foundation will continue its work to expand the awards program and seek jury panel members qualified to evaluate works. The goal is to increase the prestige of the foundation's awards program.
