Sandgate Women's Shelter of York Region Inc.

We provide emergency shelter and necessities to abused women and their children as well as additional services such as court support housing support one-on-one and group supportive counselling for both women and their children. These services are available free of charge for abused women and their children throughout york region. In additiona second stage/traditional apartments are available on a short term basis (6 months maximum) to abused women who are accessing our core services. Sandgate women's shelter is the flow through agency for the york region centre for community safety and these services are available free of charge to victims of domestic violence throughout york region.
