Sage Roots Foundation

The foundation is established to carry out objects of an exclusively charitable nature and without limiting the foregoing the following; (a) to receive and maintain a fund or funds and to apply all or part of the principal and icnome therefrom from time to time to wualified fonees as defines in subsection 149.11(1) of the income tax act (canada) that promote the relief of conistions associated iwth disabilities or various other charitable purposes; (b) to relieve conditions associated with disability by providing athletic and recreational programs to support the physical mental and emotional well-being of disables individuals (c) to foster indigenous language and culture by carrying out and supporting programs that provide indigenous children with opportunities to connect with indigenous language crafts music and storytelling; (d) to promote excellence in development environmental stewardship and indigenous engagement in canada for the benefit of the public by conducting research on best practices related to development environmental stewardship indigenous engagement and disseminating the results of the research to the public; (e) to advance education by conducting research into indigenous knowledge and traditions environmental stewardship and responsible development and publicly disseminating the results; and (f) to protect the global environment through promotion education and research in excellence in environmental stewardship and best practices.
