About Saanich Legacy Foundation
Since 1999 the saanich legacy foundation has been dedicated to strengthening our community by supporting grassroots groups local events and organizations in need. The local groups are supported in two ways: 1. Partnering with non-charitable organizations 2. Funding grants for programs and events lohbrunner park: the project focused on the northeast corner of the park between the pond and the trail where invasive species removal and native plant restoration were prioritized victoria therapeutic riding association: saanich legacy foundation supported the vancouver therapeutic riding association (vtra) in welcoming a new therapy horse named socrates who plays a key role in vtra’s mission to provide equine-assisted therapy for children and adults living with physical cognitive emotional and developmental challenges. Calm responsive and well-suited for adaptive riding socrates helps increase the organization’s capacity to serve a growing number of clients each week. Recreate grant: the recreate community grant supports older adults aged 60 and over in saanich by providing funding to access local recreation opportunities. This grant helps seniors stay active socially connected and engaged in lifelong learning.
