Roundtable Educational Society

We continue to conduct research on barriers faced by equity-denied groups in civil society by reaching out to build working relationships to inform our future programs and projects. We developed educational materials for equity-seeking groups in the charitable sector to allow them easier access to resources. With our intermediary hua foundation we collaborated in developing an upper-level undergraduate course at the University of British Columbia to provide formalized training and mentorship on community-based research and engagement to ensure that students conduct research in equity-seeking communities responsibly and equitably. We have also worked with them to implement a co-share working space that will bring together values-aligned groups that are active in Chinatown to support each other and work together to further equity and justice for BIPOC communities.
