Redistribution program - reclamation goods from local grocery stores are distributed to central alberta food banks hamper program - 12 times in a 12 month period clients can obtain a hamper of food and hygiene products walk-in program - daily clients can pick up bread and produce agency program - central alberta non-profit organizations are provided with goods ranging from food to cleaning products kibble kitchen - pet food for clients and some local animal rescue programs food production in conjunction with green iglu the food bank has acquired a geodome green greenhouse to grow produce for use in our hamper program soon the food bank will acquire a hydroponic unit also for growing produce for the hamper program volunteer income tax program to assist our clients in maximizing their access to other benefit programs. Benefit wayfinder to assist clients in procuring federal and provincial benefit programs culinary services & community kitchen to increase the profile of the food bank in the community and to provide streams of income through food trucks selling food prepared in the kitchen. The kitchen can also process donated items into goods that can be included in our hamper program. Social media is providing basic cooking i social media program:letting the public know the needs of the food bank & our services & where and when our food trucks will be out distribution hub: operates as a distribution hub for the provincial and national network we receive goods that we further distribute to food banks in the region teaching kitchen k49 :used to teach clients and the community to prepare cook and process food to increase food utility at the food bank community gardens: planted and cultivated 7 community garden plots and the harvested produce
