About Real Humanitarian
Real Humanitarian provides orphaned and vulnerable children and their families with access to health care education vocational training and the basic necessities of life. This is done by financially supporting the children's education which includes paying for school fees uniforms and supplies. We also provide the children with hot meals tutors healthcare basic necessities of life and a learning/family atmosphere at the following centers in Ethiopia: 1) Kid's Hope Ethiopia YTH Alemgena; 2) Kid's Hope Ethiopia YTH Gullele; 3) Kality Educational Center; 4) BEKA Gindo; 5) Degenet Kirkos; 6) Kersa/Turge; 7) Haleku. These centers are designed to support a total of 370 children. Other programs include: Support Street Children and Mother's (SSCM) - supports 50-70 street youth with vocational training to achieve training and government recognition in hairdressing metal and wood work; Scholarship programs provide support for post secondary schooling (includes Gondar/Jimma). Asociación Serniña is the Guatemalan branch of the international REALGirl Foundation. SERniña's mission is to end gender inequity in Guatemala by guiding and inspiring youth to develop the skills confidence and knowledge needed to reach their highest potential make informed life-choices and become agents of positive change. They achieve their mission by providing weekly two-hour self-esteem leadership and empowerment workshops to over 375 youth throughout the Sacatepequez and Chimaltenango regions of Guatemala. Canadian Humanitarian has partnered with REALGirl Foundation to bring a customized version of their empowerment and gender equality programs to Ethiopia to support the children in our Ethiopian programs. Self-Reliance program for Adults - this program provides training in business education to the adult care givers of our students in Ethiopia. Business training and mentorship goals for theses individuals help instill new insight that will help adult care givers to be resilient
