Psychiatric Survivors of Ottawa (pso)

Peer support - formal and informal: group and individual mental health peer support provided to the members of the organization and to outpatients of local hospitals. Informal support through drop-in and social activities. Building community capacity: training peers to facilitate recovery based programming. Coordinating and supporting programs thoughout the ottawa community. Providing training skills development and support to volunteers. Information sharing and public education. Providing up-to-date information and workshops to our members. Prompting the idea of mental health recovery. Educating the public on the stigma and challenges faced by people with mental health issues.
