rostate Cancer Support Ottawa (PCSO) is a local volunteer organization of prostate cancer survivors and supporters. Prostate cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer among Canadian men with one in eight men being diagnosed in their lifetime. And that’s precisely why we exist. At PCS Ottawa we understand the many and complex needs of men and their family members throughout the prostate cancer journey. As a result we are here to: Help men recently diagnosed with prostate cancer Promote awareness of this disease and the associated issues and Provide support to men and their families who continue to live with recurrent cancer. Supporting you every step of your prostate cancer journey After a prostate cancer diagnosis patients and their families must make a number of decisions about treatment. But many people don’t know where to start—or even what questions to ask. Meanwhile these decisions are often complicated by feelings of anxiety unfamiliar medical terminology statistics and a sense of urgency.
