Project learning tree canada is advancing environmental education forest literacy and career pathways using trees and forests as windows on the world. This is being achieved through the development and delivery of environmental education curriculum and activities for formal and nonformal educators and training that increases their confidence and ability to deliver plt canada education. To build confidence in bringing forests into the classroom plt canada is developing tools to increase forest literacy and the values and benefits of sustainably managed forests. In addition plt canada is delivering meaningful career pathways programming including work experiences for young professionals mentorship opportunities career resources and skills development. The goal is to provide a lifetime of learning for young people and build their interest in and engagement with the natural world.
