Pro Musica Society of Vancouver

Vancouver Pro Musica Society's principal activities include presentation and promotion of new works by British Columbia composers. Since its inception in 1986 the organization has proudly presented hundreds of premieres by talented emerging and established local composers. The ongoing programs include the Further Series exploring unions of musical styles and genres flagship Annual Sonic Boom Festival a multi-day extravaganza of new music by B.C. composers and educational lecture series Career: Composer which allows emerging artists to learn about the career paths taken by composers living and working in Canada today.
