About Prisoners with Hiv/Aids Support Action Network
Pasan provides case management and programming in support of incarcerated and formerly incarcerated people who are living with or are at risk of acquiring hiv and hepatitis c and people who use drugs. Programs include case management support harm reduction outreach resources and education harm reducation community care project community engagement program women's community program positive women's empowerment leadership project (power) hepatitis c in-reach education and support provincial in-reach education support and advocacy and federal prison in-reach education and support. Pasan works with organizations throughout ontario to reduce the barriers that incarcerated and formerly-incarcerated people encounter when accessing housing social services and health care. Drawing on their vast experience challenging injustice and in support of ex-prisoners and people who use drugs pasan offers evidence-based trainings to service providers on: prison health and harm reduction supporting and sustaining low-barrier service delivery and harm reduction principles and practices. Workshops are tailored to meet the needs of partner organizations. In addition pasan's federal health network is a bimonthly webinar series for service providers focusing on prison health and harm reduction.
