About Praxis Spinal Cord Institute
Praxis’ four programming areas are: cure (translational research) care (best practice implementation) commercialization and persons with lived experience (plex). Praxis also undertakes additional activities related to network development informatics the national canadian spinal cord injury (sci) registry (rhscir) and management/administration. In f2024 the cure (translational research) program will advance and translate work in biomarkers neuro-restorative therapies and sci data. The care (best practice implementation) program will lead a comprehensive national sci care strategy and continue to collaborate on and support projects that will advance evidence-informed equitable and optimal care for all individuals with sci. The commercialization program will mobilize and accelerate the translation of promising health technologies to improve the lives of individuals with sci by increasing access to new innovations through research validation unique mentorship and network connections. The plex program will train and connect individuals with lived experience and researchers to enable and lead integrated knowledge translation.
