The prairie action foundation corporation operating as prairieaction foundation raises and grants funds to: (a) support infrastructure needs of research and education for solutions to violence and abuse ('resolve') a prairie-based research network that coordinates and supports community and university-based researchers in alberta saskatchewan and manitob (b) provide community action research and education ('care') grants supporting grassroots charitable community based organizations across the prairie provinces in conducting action-oriented research in partnership with members of the academic community with a purpose to create or improve programs that identify effective stra (c) support tri-provincial research projects that are conducted in all three prairie provinces leading to community awareness related to issues of violence and abuse and to outcomes that are solutions-focused; (d) provide education and awareness grants to community-based non-profit organizations for activities that increase knowledge and understanding actively encourage actions that lead to a safe and violence free society and promote awareness discussion and strategic (e) recognize and award groups of young people who demonstrate leadership in making their schools neighborhoods and communities safer
