Powell Street Festival Society

The powell street festival society presents cultural events throughout the year partnering with other arts and community organizations. We also present the annual powell street festival in oppenheimer park during the bc day weekend which includes traditional and contemporay art and performances by demonstrations; traditional foods crafts and displays; children's activities. The powell street festival society presents skills training and employment programs that deliver basic necessities of life and/or cultural education for marginalized and racialized populations currently living in the historic japenese canadian geographic locations of the powell street neighbourhood currently known as the downtown eastside.
