The production of the annual literary festival event thin air is the primary programming activity of plume winnipeg inc. Each september the organization presents a series of public readings school programs and professional development opportunities for established and emerging canadian writers along with a host of accompanying literary events. Plume also hosts a variety of year-round literary activities in winnipegg and surrounding areas including a monthly poetry series speaking crow. Plume also delivers a february festival called thin air kids focused on books and literacy for children and teens.
