Pilgrims Hospice Society

The pilgrims hospice society provides supportive and compassionate family-centred care to enhance the quality and dignity of life for those diagnosed with a progressive life-threatening illness as well as support to those who are grieving. The centre is a warm and family-friendly end-of-life residence with 12 comfortable suites for individuals in the final stages of life who do not require acute medical care. In addition pilgrims hospice society offers a home visiting hub program which provides home visits from primary palliative care physicians. This service bridges the gap for those living with a life-threatening progressive illness who still live at home but do not have acess to a primary care provider. Our programs and services are designed to support a total care model that focuses on psychological social and spiritual wellbeing as well as physical symptoms unitl death occurs. In addition we offer grief support programs for children teens adults and families grieving the loss of a loved one. The adult day program a wellness program for people who are still living in the community and require services to help maintain or improve their physical and cognitive function (including but not limited to those with a progressive life-threatening or life-limiting illness).
