About Perth Theatre Project
In 2024 we were able to give two $400 bursaries to two high school graduating students who will be continuing their education in theatre related courses. Volunteers continue to support and maintain our 200-seat theatre including the Lobby area Green Room and all lighting and tech equipment. Our 6 productions during the year offer lots of opportunity for those interested in live theatre to hone their acting technical or management skills. Our youth players group continues to grow and the youth enjoy 8-10 workshops in the spring and fall for a very nominal fee. In November (2024) we hosted the Eastern Ontario Drama League One-Act Play Festival offering lots of learning opportunities for all. In Coordination with the Perth and District Union Public Library approximately once a month we show International Films through the TIFF program and as a result have been able to give the Library $6 700.00 in 2024.
