We are a community based not for profit organization serving Gabriola Island. We support individuals and families during vulnerable times in their lives while strengthening community resilience. Vulnerability can occur at any stage of life in an acute or chronic way. Our programs focus on three key social determinants of health: 1)Improving food security - food bank soup socials food recovery farmers market coupons school food programs food gardens and building food skills 2)Reducing social isolation - adult day program seniors luncheon new age of ageing taxi saver caregiver support home hospice program 3)Supporting academic success - hot lunch program breakfast program emergency snacks and lunches school garden program
