Pax Christi Chorale continued to provide opportunities to musicians who want to devote their careers in singing by creating section leads and choral scholars. These young artists assist the choir with vocal coaching and rehearsal sectionals. For the entire choir community Pax Christi Chorale continued to welcome choristers from all backgrounds and walks of life. We encourage the development of a cohesive choral culture culture in which choristers are invited to contribute according to their abilities while improving their vocal skills under the leaderhsip of our artistic director. We aspire to a disciplined atmosphere of respect and professionalism in our rehearsals and concerts. A great number of Pax Christi Chorale's choristers are volunteers in fundraising post concert receptions Finance Committee Marketing Committee music library and sections coordination. Pax Christi Chorale concluded its 2023-2024 season with four in-person concerts. In addition to preparing for concerts to promote the beauty of choral music for the community Pax Christi Chorale reached out in new directions through a restructured emerging artists program and a new school outreach initiatve. The month of December 2023 saw the return of a free concert Children's Messiah with a packed house of children and their families experiencing excerpts from Handel's Messiah presented in an educational family-oriented format. It was a brand new experience for many. The free will collections from this concert net of expenses were donated to the Common Table of the church where the concert took place. New and innovated innitiatives for 2023-2024 season started with the Canadian premiere of Alzheimer's Stories which will be complemented by works on themes of hope healing and peace followed by the traditional Christmas concert free community concert Children's Messiah and concluded by Pax's first time collaboration with Nort York Concert Orchestra to perform a joined concert Carmina Burana
