Parrsborough Shore Historical Society

Preserve and showcase the history and heritage of the Parrsborough Shore (Apple River to Five Islands) by: - operation of Ottawa House (collecting preserving and interpreting area history through exhibits presentations programs etc.) - collecting and preserving archival records - maintaining genealogical records and family histories - holding community events Continue work to emphasize community partnerships share ideas and experiences to support our community The Society is supported by many volunteers who typically contribute from 12 000 to 15 000 hours annually. New programing this year has been celebrating Acadian Day.
