Paris Museum and Historical Society

The museum preseves houses and maintains an extensive collection relevant to the paris and surrounding area. In addition to the museum we also house an archive and are a historical society. And we do community outreach. In 2024 our volunteers logged almost 5 000 hours assisting with research in the archives collections events walking tours a speaker series and other projects. Volunteers also continue to work remotely on projects as well as on site. Parish museum and historical society continues to curate and accession objects and create new and interactive exhibits. We also continue to upgrade and improve our operating systems digitize our collections and forge new community partnerships. There are new conservation projects. We also do outreach to schools and local seniors' organizations and are doing several historic home tours in 2025.
