Pand Settlement Services

Our main objective is to empower newcomers to Ottawa through providing culturally and linguistically appropriate pre-arrival and post-arrival mentorship settlement training and support services to 1) Bridge the gap between Immigration and Employment for permanent residents refugees and newcomers to Ottawa and 2) Facilitate their successful adaptation and integration processes into their new life and culture in Ottawa. The Post-Arrival services are tailored to support newcomers with their essential and initial needs upon arrival. These services create a one-stop shop that offers a range of free and confidential services designed to promote positive engagement for smooth community integration provide information and practical assistance for quick settlement in Ottawa and help newcomers get prepared to find a suitable job. These services are including but not limited to connecting clients to public institutions through referrals; volunteering opportunities cross cultural activities; networking; job search workshops settlement mentorship as well as training language courses counselling and educational activities to help newcomers advance their education and community engagement and also promoting mutual respect and fostering healthy and inclusive space for open dialogue and equal opportunity for people to be productive members of the Canadian society. Partnership with other organizations to better serve the community to create a nurturing environment that integrates people in the community strengthens the sense of connection pride and appreciation of music performing arts crafts culture and heritage of different communities in Ottawa.
