Palmerston: James Street United Church

Conducts regular Worship Services; offers Pastoral Support to congregation members supports and assists local Community Food Bank; Hosts charitable events for Canadian Food Grains Bank; conducts weddings funerals baptisms: host Seniors' events and activities; holds fundraising activities. Facilitates a 'Ukrainian Resettlement Committee' wherein Ukrainians fleeing the war are assisted with housing and jobs in the area; a house is rented in the church's name for a group of Ukrainian refugees and rent is paid to the church by the Ukrainians to facilitate it's operation. The house is self-sufficient through this rental program.
