Pacific Riding for Developing Abilities

The charity provides therapeutic horseback riding and equestrian activities to children and adults with physical cognitive and emotional challenges. Through equestrian activities and with the involvement of the community the charity strives to enhance the quality of life for individuals with a wide range of challenges. Physical benefits of therapeutic horseback riding include increased core strength balance and coordination normalization of muscle tone increased joint mobility improved proprioception and improved gross and fine motor skills. Emotional benefits include increased confidence and self-esteem experience of bonding with a horse friendship social and life skills and access to sport and recreation in a safe fun environment. Children and adults with autism benefit from an increased ability to focus improved concentration skills and improved eye contact and communication. The charity provides a sense of community for people of all abilities.
