1. Deep sea mining forum: starting in june 2022 ppp formed a deep sea mining task force to join forces with other organziations attempting to curb mining development in the deep ocean worldwide. The task force consulted with the ocean sciences research centre at the university of victoria. Ppp has been hosting various events through webinars in which guest speakers broadcast and dr. Mere explores different stories from pacific islanders from diversity in psychology to climate justice. 2. South pacific feast fundraiser event ppp hosted a community cultural celebration south pacific feast and dance occurred at cook street village activity center on september 17 2023. 3. As part of the one wave initiative paddle 4 pacific fits under ongoing programs. Pacific peoples' partnership has extende dits annual paddle 4 pacific fundraiser to december 31 2024. Participants will paddle to raise funds for our pacific partners. Much effort was made by the new executive leadership team who actively pursue funding opportunities and increasing donations to create more robust programming for 2025. 4. Vanuatu - reviving traditional weaving in fiscal 2024-25 ppp will be actively collaborating and working with the ulin maho association to launch the reviving traditional weaving project for the pacific islanders who live around inveveo village central pentecost vanuatu.
