About Pacific Aids Network Society

Providing continuous opportunities for communication education and mutual support for HIV hepatitis C and harm reduction related issues including the society’s Annual General Meeting/keynote address and other in-person and virtual convening events. Providing in person professional/workforce development opportunities for staff of member agencies. Providing leadership training for persons living with HIV/AIDS (PLHIV) and people with lived experience of hepatitis C. Providing learning and training opportunities for staff and volunteers of member organizations and allied agencies through online webinar series (Knowledge Connect). Building capacity and facilitating opportunities for member agencies PLHIV and other people with lived experiences to engage in community-based research (Community-Based Research Program) including projects that are relevant to Indigenous service providers and communities. Continuing to expand our Evaluation department to support the skills and capacities of our members and allies to evaluate their programs and services. This includes supporting standardized measurement for sector-level monitoring and evaluation and working with health authorities and community-based organizations across the province to identify relevant and useful indicators for the community-based HIV and HCV sectors. Continuing with our key partnership with the CIHR Centre for REACH in HIV/AIDS – to expand STBBI testing access in the province including HIV point of care testing as well as ongoing work regarding stigma. In partnership with the Provincial Health Services Authority PAN continues to provide backbone support to our shared Collective Impact Network (CIN) which is working to build strong collaborations across BC.
