Our Place Society

Our place society provides an extensive continuum of support services to those who are struggling with homelessness poverty addictions and mental or physical health issues in greater victoria. It serves approximately 2 000 people each year. It is the largest emergency meal supplier on vancouver island serving more than 1 200 nutritious meals every day and snacks. Its community centre on pandora avenue provides meals showers and hygiene supplies clothing medical services 1:1 assistance computers storage and more. The society operates shelters and supportive housing for over 460 people at eight locations. Its new roads therapeutic recovery centre provices treatment for men recovering from addictions and support for graduates including sober housing at jaymac place. Community programming includes dandelion street outreach for the unhoused seniors programming spiritual care creative activities bike and pet clinics and more. Out place society has been recognized as one of the top charities in canada by charity intelligence and was named the non-profit of the year recently by the greater victoria chamber of commerce.
