Riverwatch – we train and engage volunteers in communities along the ottawa river and its tributaries who are dedicated to protecting their local river. Pollution hotline – we provide tools for the public to report discharge fish kills illegal shoreline alterations and follow-up with regulators. Education & outreach: we provide ottawa river expertise and educational activities at events and give presentations throughout the watershed; swim guide – the swim guide is a website and a free app that makes it easy to find and learn about local beaches. Restoration of native species – we work with partners throughout the watershed on projects to help recover the endangered american eel the lake sturgeon and the hickorynut mussel. Ottawa river watershed network – ottawa riverkeeper is convening members of out watershed community (governments industry civil society) watershed health assessment and monitoring program: this program seeks to understand and evaluate the health of the ottawa river watershed. Youth water leaders – program provides participants with the skills and tools necessary to identify and purpose solutions to environmental issues within the ottawa river watershed research and public engagement – promote the safe storage of non-fuel nuclear waste within the ottawa river watershed
