Ottawa Japanese Cultural Centre

We hold cultural events such as Mochitsuki Tomoni and Natsu Matsuri. We offer cultural workshops at our centre. As examples cooking classes Japanese crafts ikebana and sumie calligraphy. We offer cultural/recreational clubs such as reading Japanese drumming and folk dancing. We provide a small financial support to any person or group subject to a successful application that proposes projects that informs educates and enhances the community regarding Japanese culture and the Japanese Canadian experience. We house a group that studies Japanese Tea Ceremony and holds summer and winter events related to this activity. We house a Japanese Language group. We provide funds to members or the community at large who initiate programs to promote Japanese culture.
