Ostomy Halifax Society

*ostomy halifax is an independent health organization that provides services and support to nova scotians prior to and after ostomy surgery. *since 1973 we have provided a hospital visitation program in the halifax region whereby new ostomates and their loved ones can chat with healthy active ostomates about the non medical aspects of living with an ostomy. In addition our nationally certified visitors have held training opportunities in ns pei and nb for ostomates throughout the region to also become certified hospital visitors. *we hold monthly member meetings publish a monthly newsletter and send children with ostomies to specialized camps. Our web site and social media opportunities allow our members as well as regional ostomates an opportunity to keep in touch and reach out for support.
