Osoyoos and District Arts Council

The art gallery osoyoos (tago) community art gallery supports local regional artist by having the space to showcase a variety of artistis throughout the fiscal year. Hosting the art show of potters quilters woodcarving painters. We host an annual contest for artist to submit their artwork to be consider the image to represent the poster for osoyoos. The gallery decided to host less shows to 8-9 shows to extend the show to 6 weeks/artist vs 4 months go allow more time for visitors and local to enjoy the work of each artists. Art council continues to support bursary program for osoyoos secondary school with $500 bursary/ annual agm and awards night recognizes our local community supporters of business support the arts individuals showcasing osoyoos with their work and volunteers that contribute and makes a big impact to our community. Osoyoos performing arts-changed up the format for 3rd spring festival by offering a full day of performers (10 local musicians/band) at no cost to bring everyone together at the waterfront park in osoyoos. Also received sponsorship from elks lodge to host a children's show at the local elementary for students and parents to enjoy together.
