July 18–28 2023 Muharram 1445: Dr. Imranali Panjwani presented a lecture series on 'Qur’anic reading of Karbala' and explored the contemporary relevance of Surat al-Qalam October 14 2023 OIL’s Celebration of Art and Culture: This event in conjunction with the City of Vaughan promoted Muslim and Middle Eastern artists from the GTA. March 29 2024 - April 2 2024 Ramadhan 1445: Dr. Imranali Panjwani presented a lecture series on 'Imam Ali’s (AS) understanding of the oal of Islam the Prophet (PBUH) and the Quran'. July 7-16 2024 Muharram 1446: Shaikh Arif Abdul Hussain presented a lecture series on 'Exploring the deeper meanings of the Quran'. We hosted a seminar based on 'Living a soulful life: embracing spirituality in everyday moments'. Our panelists included Shaikh Arif Abdul Hussain Dr. Zubina Mawji Maheen Sayal and Dr. Hussein Khimjee and a meditation was guided by Rukaiya Sulemanji. Throughout the Muharram programming we also had active participation from young children in assisting with managing the reception desk reciting Quran and creating and distributing snack and activity packages for other young children. This holistic approach offered members varied ways to reflect engage with the community and foster inner peace. Youth Appreciation: An appreciation event was held with the youth to thank them for their active participation in the OIL Community and foster a deeper sense of community amongst the youth.
