Olds and District Kiwanis Music Festival Society

We continue to organize and operate an annual festival of the performing arts 2-3 weeks each march. Performances include school bands piano strings choral vocal speech and musical theatre. Provides participants with opportunities to perform and learn in a non-competitive environment with a teaching/learning format under the guidance of skilled adjudicators from across the province. We stage a grand concert as part of the annual festival designed to spotlight performances of festival participants and provide them the opportunity to perform for an audience. We provide bands an opportunity to perform and participate in a workshop. We utilize services of volunteers serving on the board of directors as well as functioning as secretaries and door personnel during the festival. We continue to offer a musical theatre day camp in the summer to encourage young people to learn and have fun with musical theatre.
