The ottawa community housing foundation (och foundation) is a charitable organization dedicated to empowering individuals and families living in ottawa community housing communities. Supporting over 33 000 tenants we provide programs and initiatives that foster education employment leadership and social engagement helping residents build brighter futures. Our support focuses on children youth adults and seniors ensuring equitable access to opportunities that promote personal growth and community well-being. Through our work we aim to break down barriers strengthen communities and create pathways to success for some of ottawa's most vulnerable populations. The programs and initiatives include: reclink: reclink connects children and youth 6-18 years of age to arts camps and sports programs living in our och community inspired by learning bursary: the 'inspired by learning' bursary provides $1 000 to tenants of och who are undertaking post-secondary studies and who demonstrate financial need. Pack-a-sack: pack-a-sack provides school supplies and backpacks for children and youth in och communities so that they can return to school in september equipped and ready to learn. Hop on bikes: hop on bikes events provide refurbished bicycles helmets and locks to children and youth in och communities. Youth futures: youth futures helps youth 16-21 years build important skills to prepare for post-secondary education and employment. Tomorrow ready support tenants of och with perishable non-perishable and hygiene products through our partnership with khalsa aid ottawa.
