Telephone listening and lay counselling by trained volunteers. Calls taken include issues such as suicide prevention/intervention/postvention sexual health adictions abuse etc. Service is open 24/7 due to partnership with the ottawa + district distress centre. We are a partner with 988 national crisis helpline. We continue to offer our 6-8 pm inuktitut/english/french speaking volunteers a perdien for the extra work expected our parttime ed office manager 211 coordinator + bookkeeper are on contract. We oversee 211 nunavut with united way canada and cmha edmonton we also have 2 people who oversee the 988 calls. We also have partnered with a group 'miinga' and received financial support from the government of nunavut - family services to deliver workshops on 'gender-based' violence in many nunavut communities
