Nova Scotia Trails Federation

The nova scotia trails federation (ns trails) provides services and support for the planning maintenance management and use of recreational trails in nova scotia. Our objective are to encourage active outdoor lifestyles local economic development and an appreciation of nature and the environment. Ns trails works to establish the conditions by which these objectives may be achieved by cooperating with municipal and provincial governments and volunteer community-based member organizations. Specifically ns trails provides support fund raising technical advice access to insurance programs training and acts as a liaison with trail user groups and national organizations. We also provide trail information services to the public. Nova scotia trails federation has been engaged by the provincial government to mangage several projects around rebuilding trails around the province due to damage incurred from hurricane fiona which hit the province in 2023.
