Northwestern Ontario Sports Hall of Fame

Operation of a sports museum and hall of fame in the City of Thunder Bay with a mandate to preserve and honour our regional sports heritage through different programming initiatives including: Research: undertake research projects and assist the public with access to archives and research methods Special Events: host annual induction ceremonies which pay tribute to the citizens of the region for their accomplishments and/or volunteerism Artifact Collection: collect catalogue conserve and preserve artifacts and archival materials for the purpose of display research and education Exhibition Education and Interpretation Programming: both at our facility and in the community to promote and preserve history
