About Northern Health Authority
The role of the Authority is to promote and provide for the physical mental and social well-being of people who live in the north region of British Columbia and those referred from outside the region. Northern Health Authority was created under the Health Authorities Act of British Columbia on December 12 2001 with a Board of Directors appointed by the Ministry of Health. The Authority is dependent on the Ministry of Health to provide sufficient funds to continue operations replace essential equipment and complete its capital projects
