Co-authored with Peter Mansbridge How Canada Works uncovers first-person stories about the unique people and professions that make Canada work. June 19 - Adam Bunch – Toronto’s Founding Dog & How He Almost Got Eaten - Adam Bunch a lively and intriguing storyteller shares tale of how Jack Sharp found himself in very deep trouble soon after our city was founded. Through the life of Jack Bunch regales his audiences with the Simcoe family’s experiences in the very early years of York. Sept 18 Sheila White - Based on the true story of a white woman from a traditional Nova Scotia family who risks it all by falling in love with a Black man. The courtship that follows unleashes a torrent of racist rants that expose the pervasive bigotry of the late 1940s.
