The nightingale centre is a not-for-profit organization that has been created to provide grief and bereavement support to children adolescents and their families in guelph and wellington county who have experienced or are anticipating the death of a family member. The nightingale centre offers the following programs: - the family bereavement program provides bereavement counselling to children 6 to 12 years old. - the youth bereavement program provides bereavement support for youth 13 to 18 years old. - the family suicide bereavement program provides parental peer support and grief counselling for children and youth who have experienced death by suicide of a parent or sibling. - education and consultation workshops help families professionals volunteers and community members learn about supporting grieving children and youth.
