Newfoundland and Labrador Science Fairs Council Inc.

1) we continue to encourage students to develop an interest in the area of science and technology by designing and carrying out experiments and displays in these areas as well as communicating ideas to other students and the general public. 2) we foster the idea that scientific inquiry is an integral part of our search for knowledge and discovery. 3) we promote a learning environment where students will plan organize and develop a scientific fair project 4) we encourage and promote the holding of annual school science fairs. 5) we organize and hold two provincial science fairs in our province - eastern nl and labrador west central nl lwc - in which students will demonstrate their projects and share results with students form other school (this was virtual during covid) 6) we select and send students to represent our provincial region at the annual canada-wide science fair (held in edmonton in 2024) 7) participation in science literacy week initiatives we have increased our social media presence with an instagram account (@ easternnlsci) along with our x account (@easternnlsci) and our facebook page (@easternnlsci).
