1. Provide educational materials and resources re respiratory disease. 2. Provide tobacco cessation programs. 3. Assist schools and the public with air quality issues. 4. Facilitate public education and egagement on climate change toward the reductions of greenhouse emissions. 5. Assist lung transplant patients with funding toward their medical costs. 6. Conduct radon gas awareness programs and provide radon detectin kits to the public. 7. Conduct an annual health symposium to provide the public meidcal professionals and students with imporant issues on lung health. 8. Protect human health and the environment against harmful chemical substances by building capacity in support of canada's chemical management plan. 9. Help reduce green house gasses by increasing public awareness and early adoption of electric vehicles and managing a government sponsored electric vehicle incentive pilot program. 10. Public awareness and direction in changing wood stoves over to less polluting and more efficient heating arrangements.
