Neil Murkar Charitable Foundation

1. To jointly operate a community policing project with the Durham Regional Police; 2. The Foundation intends to conduct such charitable activities within Canada or internationally as determined to: a) providing immediate relief to victims of natural disasters or sudden catastrophes such as floods earthquakes and tornados; b) relieving suffering or disability caused by old age; c) preventing and relieving sickness and disability d) preserving the environment; e) providing public amenities which includes the establishment of community halls playground and picnic areas to benefit the entire community; f) protecting the welfare of children 3. To conduct a program of direct financial and personal sponsorship of international students who come to live and study in the community from time to time through youth exchange. 4. To provide bursaries to high school students who intend to proceed with higher education and are in need of financial support. 5. To receive and maintain a fund or funds and to provide financial assistance from time to time to charitable organizations
