Nature united is a canadian charity affiliated with the nature conservancy which works globally to conserve the lands and waters on which all life depends. We strive for a world where healthy communities and sustainable development drive locally and globally significant conservation outcomes. We partner with indigenous communities businesses governments and other non-profits to advance pragmatic solutions to significant conservation challenges. Our canadian and global programs include: using science-based research to reduce carbon emissions through forestry agriculture grasslands and other natural climate solutions; working with indigenous communities to strengthen their management of lands and natural resources in their territories including providing resources for capacity-building stewardship plans guardian networks and improved forest management; supporting indigenous youth by integrating traditional knowledge and science in conservation education; advancing sustainable forest management and protection; helpting implement marine management plans; advancing protection and sustainable development of oceans and freshwater; encouaging the development of market and policy solution for climate and biodiversity; and advancing alternative conservation financing including project finance for permanence to address conservation obectives.
