Protecting canada's most endangered ecosystems by acquiring and managing funds to address key funding gaps through: supporting land-embedded communities and qualified donees with grants and facilitating access to other funding sources to undertake activities in support of establishing new protected areas (such as land-use planning management and stewardship programs etc); purchasing private lands for new protected areas; engaging supporting and collaborating with groups and communities to develop conservation projects.
