NATO Association of Canada/Association Canadienne Pour L'OTAN

The NATO Association has multiple charitable programs directed at fulfilling its mandate to educate Canadians about the value of security and the importance of NATO. The Association hosted regular events in Toronto and Ottawa in addition to an event in Halifax and our online events. Major Events - The Association hosted 56 events across Canada to celebrate the 75th Anniversary of NATO. Online Events - The Association hosted 10 online events via zoom and livestreamed to youtube. Articles and Publications- At the same time we also continued to publish our articles during the year on international affairs through our website (www.natoassociation.ca). Social Media - We continued to engage with Canadians through social media platforms Facebook Linkedin Twitter and Instagram. Projects - We also continued to develop our Massive Online Course (creating a lesson on NATO for Canadian high-school students). The Ambassadors' Program also continued to take advantage of the ease of communication with the various NATO country ambassadors in Ottawa. Internship - Our volunteer internship program continued to run remotely during the year and we hosted 35 volunteer interns in various positions. The Association hosted our first NATO Concert in Toronto at the Isabelle Bader Theatre at the University of Toronto.
