To relieve poverty in the muslim canadian community by providing the following basic amenities to the poor to the needy or to persons of low income or of small/limited means: a) food in the form of food vouchers; b) clothing; and c) financial assistance determined on the basis of the established selection criteria to establish and operate transitional houses for women and children in the muslim canadian community who are homeless poor of low income and/or victims of domestic abuse and to provide counseling and outreach programs to its residents. To educate and increase the muslim canadian community’s awareness of the zakat charitable giving associated with the islamic faith by providing seminars workshops an online educational resources. To create and maintain tools and resources to facilitate the accurate calculation of zakat charitable donation by the muslim canadian community and to increase awareness of the zakat charitable/social assistance available to them
