About Nanaimo Youth Services Association
Provide support training programs workshops employment wage subsidy programs life skills and job entry to youth children from ages 13 to 30. Ongoing programsinclude:1. Bladerunner - wage subsidy program promoting employment opportunities and trades training 2. Youth housing - provides safe supportive affordable housing to youth ages 16-19 3. Employment keep it - is designed for youths aged 16 to 30 who are unemployed not attending school and who are in need of assistance to overcome employment barriers. 4. Supportive living program - provides life-skills support to youth who are referred to it by the ministry of children and family development. 5. Kids4kids - embraces the diversity of the children and seeks to provide opportunities for youth to gain knowledge life and pre-employment skills and social interactions to help them reach their full potential
